Travis Kelce is a sharp departure from Taylor Swift’s typical choice of man. For the past decade, the pop princess has only openly dated British male musicians.

So what about Travis’ American NFL lifestyle has Taylor swooning? Well, the answer to that question has just been revealed. A source said there are three things that she is looking for in a man right now and, luckily, Travis ticks off all the boxes. The insider said: “Taylor wants a guy that’s into his career, does his own thing, but is also supportive and understands her, and Travis fits those qualities.”

Considering Travis attended a stop on the Eras Tour, has his own successful athletic career, and lives in the limelight like she does, he seems to be passing Taylor’s tests. Plus, there’s more about Travis that is winning Taylor over.

According to ET’s source, Taylor and Travis “are having a great time getting to know each other” right now, which means it may not be super serious but something is budding. Apparently, the pair have loads in common and the insider said: “They have similar values. She likes that he pursued her and it has been easy and exciting for both of them.”

After turning up at Travis’ game in Arrowhead on Sunday, the pair went out to celebrate the big win. Travis reportedly rented out a whole restaurant for a celebration. A party attendee told ET: “Travis bought out the restaurant for his family and team. Taylor arrived, wearing a denim dress, and was seen snacking, having some cocktails and dancing alongside Travis. The two were very affectionate with one another but kept things fun and lighthearted. Travis’ teammates also showed up to the after-party, as well as his mom and dad, Donna and Ed. The party lasted until 2 a.m.”

Before Travis, Taylor reportedly had a fling with musician Matty Healy. More notably, earlier this year she broke up with actor Joe Alwyn whom she had been dating for six years. Their relationship seemed very different than the one she is currently pursuing with Travis. Joe and Taylor were largely out of the spotlight, especially since during their time together Taylor was staying out of the public eye for personal reasons and then they bunkered down together over COVID-19 lockdown. Now, Taylor’s return to dating is being celebrated by fans who are happy to have their Miss Americana glowing again.
