The games may be coming thick and fast in the Premier League, but that certainly isn’t the case in France, with Ligue 1 in the midst of a winter break.
One player enjoying his time off is Kylian Mbappe, with the Paris Saint-Germain striker taking the opportunity to soak up the sun.
Mbappe can reflect upon an impressive first half of the campaign during which he scored 16 goals in 19 appearances for PSG across all competitions, while he also provided ten assists.
It has been an excellent year for Mbappe, who played a major part as France won the World Cup in the summer.
PSG, meanwhile, went into the winter break well on track to win the Ligue 1 title for the sixth time in seven seasons.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are currently 13 points clear at the top of the table and have two games in hand on their closest challengers Lille.
There is much for Mbappe and PSG to look forward to in 2019, including an intriguing last-16 tie against Manchester United in the Champions League.
PSG haven’t played since December 22, when they beat Nantes 1-0 in Ligue 1, and they are set to return to action on January 6 with a French Cup tie away to GSI Pontivy.
