When Lionel Messi stepped out with DJ Khaled’s small kid as a mascot before kickoff on Tuesday, he reassured him.
Asahd, 7, began crying when he stood in front of Messi in the team lineup, perhaps due to the commotion that greeted the team as they stepped out onto the field at the DRV PNK Stadium.
Messi saw and checked on young Asahd, who gave Messi a thumbs up as he regained his composure.
DJ Khaled later uploaded a video of Messi holding his son’s hand as he walked him out onto the pitch before the game began, writing, ‘I’m very proud of my son!’ ‘God bless @leomessi!!!’
Messi exhibited a mild demeanor prior to the start of the match; nevertheless, once play had begun, he immediately exposed his vicious side.
He helped his new Inter Miami squad to a 4-0 victory over Atlanta United by scoring twice in the first 22 minutes of the game.
His first goal was assisted by Sergio Busquets, who raced through on goal, struck the post with his original effort, and then scored on the rebound. This was Sergio’s first goal as a professional player.
His second goal came about when Atlanta was unable to successfully clear a pass that was played into the penalty area. Then, after halftime and immediately after, new teammate Robert Taylor scored to put an end to the competition.
As he continues to work toward regaining his health, Messi participated in 78 minutes of his team’s second game.
At Messi’s second game, which took place on Tuesday at Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium, DJ Khaled, along with other celebrities such as P Diddy and Camilla Cabello, was in attendance.
