It’s a small world if you are an elite footballer. That’s what Serigo Aguero and Kylian Mbappe discovered when they bumped into each other during their summer break in Ibiza.
Less than a month ago, the two strikers were sharing a pitch at the Kazan Arena as France and Argentina played out a classic World Cup knockout tie. Both players scored, but it was Mbappe’s France who progressed and went on to lift the trophy.
It would appears as though there are no hard feelings between them, however, as they posed together for a photo, which was later shared across their various social media channels on Thursday.

It was quickly seized upon by popular tweeter Benjamin Mendy, who is team-mates with both players across domestic and international football.
The left back, who won the World Cup alongside Mbappe, urged his Manchester City team-mate Aguero to bring the prodigious striker back to England with him.
He jokingly wrote: ‘#AgentKun do your thang bro.’
It would likely take more than Aguero’s encouragement to prise Mbappe away from Paris Saint-Germain.

ollowing his staggering performances in Russia, in which he became the first teenager to score in the final since Pele in 1958, Mbappe has become arguably among the most valuable footballers in the world.
He is already the second-most expensive player of all time following his £164million move from Monaco, which was agreed last summer but only went through this year. PSG hope he will bring them their first European title in the near future.
His astronomic rise is even threatening Neymar’s position as the club’s crown jewel. Indeed, the Brazilian was supposed to be the undisputed king of the Parc des Princes when arriving from Barcelona but has seen his stock fall after a disappointing World Cup.
Mbappe’s place as the darling of PSG was further cemented on Thursday when he was handed the No 7 shirt. The 19-year-old inherits the number from Lucas Moura, who departed for Tottenham in January.
