Midfielder Jude Bellingham was awarded Real Madrid’s ‘Mahou Five Star Player’ award for the 2023-2024 season and admitted to feeling “lucky”, highlighting the honor he feels to play with the teammate at current club.
With 23 goals in 42 appearances in his first season at the club, Bellingham was a key factor in Real Madrid’s success, winning the Champions League, La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup.
He said upon receiving the award: “I’m really proud to have achieved this in my first year. It makes me very happy and I’m very grateful to the fans who elected me. I’m very happy to be in here and being a part of this family. I hope they enjoy watching me play.
“Honestly, I love every minute and every second of being here. It’s hard to choose a word or a sentence to describe. Every time I go on the field, I feel lucky. To play with these players , with this team, it’s a wonderful thing, an honor.”

Looking back at his recent season with Real Madrid, which he will finish with England at EURO 2024 in Germany, Bellingham has picked out some unforgettable moments from his first season in Spain .
“I will keep a few moments. My first goal against Barcelona, from outside the box, was a really great moment because it helped us get back into the game. I really liked that goal. I also liked the goal against Napoli with a dribble.”
