Fans of Britney Spears are now accusing Kevin Federline, who has custody of the two boys he had with Britney Spears, of moving to Hawaii in order to coerce her into paying child support for an extended length of time.
Kevin Federline, who has custody of the two sons he shares with Britney Spears is now being accused by the singer’s fans of moving to Hawaii so that he can manipulate her into paying child support for a longer period.
State laws in Hawaii are different and promote payment of child support if the child is enrolled full-time in a university or an accredited college. It also applies to children enrolled full-time in a trade school or a vocational school.
It will mean that if the couple’s children, who are now 17 and 16 respectively choose to enroll in a college or vocational school for further studies, Britney will have to continue paying child support.
Federline recently told the media that this report was completely “stupid” and that his move to Hawaii was because his current wife was taking up a job there and not for extending child support.
Reportedly, Britney has given her consent to her children moving to Hawaii. Britney has had a tumultuous relationship with her sons and last year, it was reported that the boys did not want to see her again. They had reportedly also refused to attend her wedding with Sam Asghari last year. The reason that was given by their lawyer was that Kevin Federline had stated it was Britney and Asghari’s “night and they didn’t want to take away from them.”
