The Wolverine star stripped off to his swimming shorts for a run by the sea in Australia.

Proving he looks as young as ever, the 48-year-old flaunted VERY impressive abs and nicely toned arms on Bondi Beach this week, leaving fans to wonder why he is not a super model.

Hugh, who was being treated for skin cancer again earlier this year, was in great shape as he was keeping to what must be a strict fitness regime.

The Aussie actor who has already had several surgeries on his nose since being diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in 2013 revealed in February that doctors had found more of the non-melanoma cancer.

He must have recovered rather quickly, as he is looking better than ever.

Hugh, who is now required to have his skin checked every three months, previously also had cancer removed from his shoulder and has been vocal about urging others to get checked.

He said: “It’s always a bit of a shock just hearing the word ‘cancer’. Being an Australian, [skin cancer] is a very common thing. I never wore sunscreen growing up so I was a prime candidate for it.

“I was trying to keep calm about it… basal cell carcinoma is just something you have to deal with. It’s cancerous. It will grow. You just have to get it out.

“I go every three months for checkups. It’s the new normal for me. My doctor says I’ll likely have more and if that’s your cross to bear in life, you should be so lucky.”
