Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds gave us the Wolverine and Deadpool reunion we have all been craving as the actors caught up over lunch.
The pair were seen sitting together for lunch and catch up at an outdoor restaurant in New York before the actors grabbed coffees to go as they walked along chatting.
While Hugh, 52, and Ryan, 44, have starred together in the Marvel film X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009 but fans are hoping there may be a larger appearance from Wolverine in the third Deadpool movie.
Archive footage was used of Hugh as Wolverine in the mid-credits of Deadpool 2 with his permission, and Ryan had previously hinted that the third movie might be a bigger crossover.
Ryan revealed in January that the third film was originally going to see Deadpool and Wolverine, aka Logan, take a road trip together before Fox, the company that owned the cinematic rights to the character, was bought by Disney in 2019.
He tweeted: ‘It’s critical to have open, honest and healthy discussions around mental health. By retweeting #BellLetsTalk you can make a difference. In case that’s not enough, before Disney bought Fox, Deadpool 3 was gonna be a road trip between Deadpool and Logan. Rashomon style. For real.’

Rashomon style refers to the same story being retold over and over from the perspective of multiple characters, suggesting Deadpool and Wolverine may have had different opinions on the trip.
Deadpool 3 is currently in development but little is known so far about the plot and whether there will be much interaction between the characters following the sale.
