The popular show Game of Thrones is about to end in 2019 and Emilia Clake aka Daenerys has decided the best farewell gift for herself. During an interview on LIVE With Kelly and Ryan, the 31-year-old actress revealed that she would get inked.
Actress Emilia Clarke, known as the mother of dragons in the show, is planning to commemorate the end of GOT with a tattoo of a flying dragon on her wrist. Clarke told host Ryan Seacrest: “I was in a tattoo parlour the other day trying to get an appointment and they said that they were full because you’re coming in to get a tattoo of a dragon?”
When co-host Kelly Ripa asked if she was really doing it, Clarke replied: “Yes! Sorry, mum! I’m going to get a dragon right here (points at the wrist) kind of flying away. So I think that’s cool. A little kind of peace out.”
But Clarke joked she could have gone bigger. When Ripa teased she thought she would have gone for a “big back tattoo”, the actress replied: “Yeah exactly! They’ve cleared the schedule, I’m getting the full (back tattoo).”
Earlier, talking about how GOT would end, Emilia had said the creators “don’t even trust” the cast with keeping the ending of the show a secret.
Emilia told The Hollywood Reporter: “I don’t know that I even do now. I’m being serious. I think they’re filming a bunch of stuff and they’re not telling us. I’m being serious. I’m being deadly serious. I think that they don’t even trust us.”
“There are lots of different endings that could happen; I think we’re doing all of them and we aren’t being told which is actually what’s going to happen,” she added.
However, Clarke also said the last season would be “what none of us think it will be”. Since the actress has to bid farewell to the show, she got emotional and said, “It really feels like preparing to leave home… That’s exciting, but it’s sad and scary all at the same time.”
