Kylian Mbappe‘s younger brother Ethan has followed in the footsteps of his brother and left Paris Saint-Germain, after signing for a new club.
The move away from Parc des Princes marks Ethan’s first professional contract, as he looks ‘to progress his career’ and emerge from the shadow of his superstar brother.
Kylian Mbappe left PSG after six years on a free transfer earlier in the summer, fulfilling a childhood dream of joining Real Madrid.
The younger Mbappe, meanwhile, has signed for Lille on a three-year contract and says it was the right thing for his career.
‘For me, at my age, staying in France was the best option to progress,’ said the 17-year-old midfielder, as the Ligue 1 club announced the deal.
‘I think LOSC was the best project. It is one of the best in France,’ Mbappe continued.
‘I look forward to starting this adventure and meeting my new team-mates, the staff, as well as the supporters.
‘It’s a real pride to be able to play here.’

Ethan Mbappe joined PSG in 2017 at the same time as Kylian, but has remained playing largely in the youth set-up on a youth contract.
In that time, he has only featured five times for Les Parisiens, so his move to Lille represents an opportunity to forge his career on the professional game.
He will wear the No 29 jersey for Les Dogues, and will look to work his way into head coach Bruno Genesio’s side at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, almost immediately.
