Last week pop icon Lady Gaga had her new single, Stupid Love, leaked online for fans to stream and download.
And now Dua Lipa has fallen victim to the same fate with three new tracks from her upcoming album, Future Nostalgia, leaked online – leaving the artist devastated.
Yet the New Rules singer, 24, looked cheery when she stepped out in the capital on Saturday to attend Dermott O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 radio show.
Dua looked sensational as she showcased her tiny toned waist in a brown and pink cropped jumper with a simple pair of black jeans, drawing attention to her gym honed physique.
The New Rules hit-maker wore her bleach blonde tresses in loose waves and stopped to greet her fans with selfies.
On Thursday Dua dealt with the breach of security when three tracks were leaked.
These included Break My Heart, which borrows a melody from Need You Tonight by INXS and has given Michael Hutchence a mention in the songwriting credits.
The second tune, If It Ain’t Me, is a collaboration with ex-Fifth Harmony singer Normani and is expected to feature on the deluxe version of the album.
Finally a track called Physical was leaked, one day before it’s official release, and has become a firm favourite with fans.
For the singer, this comes as a major annoyance as her album is not set to be released until April 3.
Fans have gone wild on Twitter, with many rejoicing that they can get their hands on her new material.
While some loyal fans beg other not to listen as it is a breach of her privacy and goes against her wishes.
One said: ‘No one listen to the dua lipa leak she has to get streams on release date’
Another said in solidarity: ‘Just saying when you leak tracks before the artist releases them, you’re f******g with your “fAv0Rit3 aRtIstz” sales and streams. Which is super discouraging for them. DO NOT LEAK @DUALIPA’s MUSIC OR LISTEN TO IT BEFORE SHE RELEASES IT! There’s a process for this.’
While some were to focused on their love for the music, one said: ‘Dua Lipa is our saviour omg. Just listen to the leak and OMFG.’
