Liverpool must realize the rumors of a possible transfer for Mohamed Salah will not go away soon. It appears that Saudi Arabia will not give up trying to sign Salah to their ambitious and rapidly growing league.

Liverpool may have been able to keep their Egyptian superstar from receiving offers from other clubs this summer. But Salah can’t keep up this pace forever. Some of the outrageous transfer sums being bandied about and approved by Saudi clubs could eventually make the money too tempting for Liverpool to pass up.

Especially if the player is not getting any younger and has only two years left on his deal. Salah will be 32 years old by next summer, and he is undoubtedly planning for the end of his career.The challenge of finding his replacement is evident. However, the team may not need to find a replacement “like for like.” Instead of looking for a direct replacement for its talisman, Liverpool might reinforce many spots in the squad overall and make the team more balanced, like it did with Philippe Coutinho.One may аrgue that Liverpool would be better served by acquiring a more ‘project’ right winger and then using the remaining funds to improve their defense and add possibly another midfielder.

From Liverpool’s point of view, Bryan Mbeumo is someone who could contribute to this restoration. Although the Brentford winger is not quite at Salah’s level just yet, he is only 24 years old and has had a fantastic start to the season.

After assisting on 17 goals in the Premier League last season, his four goals through four games put him in second place behind only Erling Haaland.Mbeumo is similar to Salah in that they are both right wingers with a preference for cutting inside. He would provide Jürgen Klopp with some tactical versatility since he could play both up front and in the attacking midfield.

He has a two-year commitment left on his current contract with Brentford, which begins next summer as he enters a pivotal period of his career. There’s a window of opportunity there when a trade would benefit both the team and the individual.

Brentford may still get a good price for him with two years left on his contract, but Liverpool may be able to obtain him at a discount compared to other targets who have contracts that don’t expire until 2027 or 2028.

Despite being a great signing who is poised for another successful season in the Premier League, Mbeumo won’t break the bank for Liverpool, which makes him an enticing choice.
