Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is now considered a royal player after his great game against Cadiz, which was guided by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Rodrygo didn’t seem to be phased by Cadiz. He scored his first goal on a beautiful solo effort and then showed off his moving skills for his second. Jude Bellingham scored the third goal after a pass from the 22-year-old. With this, Madrid moved ahead of Girona and Rodrygo set a club record.
The Brazil star has helped set up at least three goals in each of his last two league games. On November 11, he scored two goals and set up two others against Valencia. Opta says Rodrygo is one of only three Real Madrid stars in the 21st century to have done this. Gonzalo Higuain did it once, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays forward for Al-Nassr now, did it an amazing seven times.
Rodrygo has helped set up seven goals in his last two La Liga games, which is a huge improvement from the beginning of the season. In his first 12 league games, he had only scored two goals.
The Brazilian forward will play in Europe on Wednesday when Real Madrid hosts Napoli. This comes after a busy week at club and international levels. After four wins in a row, Real Madrid has already made it to the next round of the Champions League. A draw will be enough for them to move on as group winners.
