Aurelian Tchouameni made an immediate effect when he came on with just ten minutes of normal time left. He rose high to meet a Toni Kroos corner kick and fired Madrid to their second comeback win in La Liga in as many weeks.
With the win, Real Madrid moved two points ahead of Girona at the top of La Liga. Barcelona is in third place, ten points behind, but they have a game in hand.
