A trio of Real  Madrid’s headline stars showcased their class, on the back of the club’s downing of Girona this evening.

Real and Girona, of course, locked horns a short time ago, in a highly-anticipated top-of-the-table La Liga clash.

And, when all was said and done, it was the former who emerged triumphant, in an utterly dominant fashion.

Owing to goals on the part of Vinícius Jr, Jude Bellingham (2), and Rodrygo, Los Blancos sent a message to the entirety of Spanish football.

Whilst Saturday’s hosts kick into gear some well-earned celebrations, though, on the flip side, the inquest at Girona will now begin.

Míchel’s troops were dominated to an alarming extent at the Bernabéu, to the point that several of the club’s star performers across the season to date were left looking crestfallen post-match.

Front and center was right-back Yan Couto, who was spotted in tears in the aftermath of the matchup.

Couto, for his part, has been heavily linked with a summer move to Real Madrid, with speculation in the media this week having pointed towards tonight’s fixture as something of an audition.

Torn to shreds by the electric Vinícius Jr, however, the 21-year-old could not help but allow his emotions to get the better of him.

And yet, he was soon comforted, by none other than his chief tormentor.

Crowding around the devastated Couto on the Bernabéu pitch post-match, all of Vinícius, Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo were spotted consoling the Brazilian.

A classy gesture on the part of a wonderful young trio.
