Kylian Mbappe has compared himself to a football-playing Manga character after picking up an injury on international duty with France.
The 19-year-old was forced off after 36 minutes with a shoulder injury playing for his country against Uruguay in a friendly on Tuesday night.
Mbappe posted a picture of his shoulder bandaged up alongside Japanese comic character Captain Tsubasa, who was wearing a similar dressing on his shoulder.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward landed awkwardly during France’s 1-0 win in Paris.
Mbappe’s club team-mate Neymar also came off injured during Brazil’s friendly against Cameroon on Tuesday night.
The Ligue 1 side are monitoring the injuries sustained by the pair ahead of the weekend.

A statement on the club’s official wesbite on Wednesday read: ‘Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe have undergone medical examinations today that confirmed: for Neymar an elongation of the right adductors. For Kylian Mbappe a contusion of the right shoulder.
‘A period of 48 hours of care will be observed to judge the clinical course.’
Mbappe has scored 13 goals in 13 appearances in all competitions so far this season and provided seven assists.
