The English actress, who shot to fame playing Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen in the hugely successful HBO series Game of Thrones, donned a bright red coat for the long-haul journey.
The 32-year-old film and TV star was spotted catching a flight to America for the 91st annual Academy Awards ceremony which is taking place on Sunday.
The Star Wars actress will join a host of former winners and famous faces at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for the biggest night of the showbiz year, with the honour of taking to the stage to present a prestigious gong.
For yesterday’s flight, Emilia teamed her vibrant scarlet coat with a grey roll-neck jumper tucked into a pair of black tailored trousers for a smart casual look.
She added a pair of trendy round sunglasses and carried a black leather bag from Celine over her shoulder as she made her way through the terminal.
The beautiful actress, who has been sporting short blonde locks in recent times, wore her hair loose in a side parting revealing a pair of gold hooped-earrings.
Fans will be pleased to see Emilia back on our TV screen in the Spring for the eighth and final instalment of the epic show based on the books by George R. R. Martin.
Since wrapping up the show last year, Emilia has been working on a new film called Above Suspicion – a thriller about an FBI agent in Kentucky – which will be in cinemas later this year.
