Dwayne Johnson has a lot to balance these days, but he makes sure he always has time for his daughters.
At the Mana Holiday House party for the actor’s tequila brand Teremana, Johnson, 51, told reporters about how his businesses have brought him closer to his three daughters — Simone, 22, Jasmine, 7, and Tiana, 5.
“I think I’ve reached a point in my life where I can create my own schedule, which has really been nice, because it wasn’t always that way, and I’m really lucky,” he says.
“And I think, in the spirit of creating my own schedule, it allows me to get closer to the girls and where they’re around every corner they’re with me.”
“So even though they haven’t joined me down in Jesús Maria, I do plan on bringing them there. And some of the other things that we have coming up … My office at the house is Daddy Central, where they’re always hanging out, so they’re always privy to all the stuff that’s going on.”
“It’s like they’re privy to the chocolate factory,” he jokes.
Johnson shares his daughter Simone with ex-wife Dany Garcia. He shares Tiana and Jasmine with wife Lauren Hashian.
A proud girl dad, Johnson has also found an enamoring way to keep his daughters close in the tequila endeavor. The bottom of each bottle of Teremana is embossed with “TIJASI” — the first two letters of each of his daughters’ names. “[It’s] an indication of legacy,” he said. “An indication that when I’m no longer around, at least my portion of the brand will go to them.”
Johnson launched Teremana Tequila in March 2020. The brand currently has three expressions — a blanco, reposado and an añejo.
The Mana Holiday House is an immersive holiday experience where guests can come and taste the tequila, snap some cool pics and be treated to goodies such as his famous French toast. The house was open to the public in L.A. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, and will be launching in New York from Dec. 12 to Dec. 13. An interactive online version of the house is currently available till Dec. 31.
Back in March, the star showed off his parenting skills in the best way possible — with a clip of him getting his makeup done by his two younger daughters.
“Daddy can we give you a makeover,” Johnson wrote in the caption of the video, which showed him with a face full of pink makeup. “No baby, daddy has a zoom meeting in 10min. PLEASE it’ll be quick! Ok, but make it quick but only do my nails and make me look handsome.”
However, Johnson explained, as a result of the DIY makeup job, his Zoom meeting was canceled, his “two tornadoes point and laugh uncontrollably with no mercy judgement” and he spent “an hour TRYING to scrub lipstick off my head and face.”
“Unbeknownst to me, this s— stains the skin,” Johnson joked.
Back in 2021, he spoke with PEOPLE about raising daughters, explaining that his role as a girl dad has allowed him to become “more tender and gentle.”
He also said that at home, Jasmine and Tiana “are tornadoes and very passionate about how they feel.”
“Lauren and I like raising them in an environment and a culture where there are no limits to life. You can do anything you want, and you can achieve anything you want,” he said. “However, I need you to be flexible with how we get there.”
