Dua Lipa has reportedly split from her filmmaker boyfriend Romain Gavras after a whirlwind eight-month romance.

The hitmaker confirmed she was dating Romain, who is Rita Ora’s ex, back in March when the two were pictured heading home together from the Saint Laurent Paris Fashion Week show.

Yet the pair have now reportedly gone their separate ways, according to The Sun.

The singer has decided she wishes to concentrate solely on her music at the moment ahead of the release of her third album.

With her latest single Houdini released last month the star has called it quits with the Frenchman.

A source told the publication: ‘Dua and Romain have gone their separate ways after a summer of love.

‘She has blinkers on when it comes to her career and the pair ended the relationship before things turned sour.

‘Romain considered Dua to be a workaholic but she doesn’t plan on slowing down for anything or anyone.’

MailOnline has contacted the singer’s representatives for comment.

The pair were last seen enjoying a night out together last month as they were joined by the star’s brother Gjin, 17.

The threesome were spotted leaving the Chiltern Firehouse, as Dua cut a stylish figure in bold red leather trousers, which she styled with a studded white top and a grey woollen coat.

Yet the star has also recently revealed her new record is ‘really personal’ and explores dating and finding out whether a lover is ‘real or not’.

She explained on US radio: ‘It’s more the ­different feelings and ­emotions you have throughout the period of being single.

‘It’s also understanding. You understand what you want and what you need and what you deserve.

‘It goes from the phase of ­figuring out ­singledom into potentially a new relationship.

‘Then it’s early days and ­getting to see the truth behind someone – whether they are real or not. Or who they are.’

Prior to dating Romain, the star was in a relationship with Anwar Hadid.

Dua rose to fame with her debut album, Dua Lipa, and her latest album, Future Nostalgia, which just surpassed 10 billion streams.

She is reportedly putting the finishing touches to her ‘really personal third album.
