Swifties around the world were rejoicing when Taylor Swift recently announced her intention to release ‘1989’ (Taylor’s Version) later this year, along with five songs From The Vault.

With this latest news, fans are now revisiting the theory that Harry Styles could be set to appear on Taylor’s latest re-recording. For those less acquainted with Taylor’s albums, ‘1989’ was the record which spawned hits such as ‘Blank Space’, ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘Style’, which heavily rumoured to be about the former One Direction singer.

Nothing has been confirmed by the pair, who briefly back in 2012/2013, however, following Taylor’s announcement, and Harry subsequently following her on Instagram, fans have been putting their theories of a collab on social media.

Even PrettyLittleThing suggested he could appear on ‘1989’ (Taylor’s Version).

Another fan noticed the subtle follow….

Another fan tweeted: ‘Taylor Swift putting Taylor Lautner in a music video was the stepping stone to Style Feat. Harry Styles on 1989 Taylor’s Version.’

However, this theory has actually been around for a few years, with one fan tweeting in 2020: ‘WHEN TAYLOR SWIFT RERECORDS 1989 SHE WILL MAKE STYLE FT HARRY STYLES AND THEN ITLL GO NUMBER ONE AND WIN SOTY AND HAYLORS WILL FINALLY WIN’. (sic)

But with neither artist commenting on the latest theory resurgence it looks like we’ll have to wait until 27th October to find out if Harry does in fact feature on Taylor’s new album.
